Musk Is Engaging In More Corruption Than He's "Cutting."

Elon Musk Was Tasked With Cutting Government Waste, But Instead Is Targeting Pivotal Agencies.

Shortly after the election in which Elon Musk spent north of $250 million dollars to aid a Donald Trump victory, it was announced he would be heading an advisory committee to be called the Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE.

The goal of the committee was described as cutting waste and inefficiency from the federal budget, something that receives bipartisan support.

The issue comes, however, when we look into what Musk has done since being given these reigns.

As its a far cry from pointing out corruption or cutting waste, rather engaging in corruption himself by spreading lies about agencies he doesn’t like in hopes to have them cut.

It doesn’t stop there either.

Musk and his aids have seized the Office of Personal And Management (OPM) and locked workers out of the computer systems with sensitive information.

They then moved to the Treasury Department, overtaking the payment system containing the personal banking information of millions of Americans.

Democrats Denied Entry From USAID Building.

While also heisting the United States Agency For International Development (USAID) building and preventing Democrats from entering.

All as unelected bureaucrats.

Speaking of unelected bureaucrats, it came out the Musk aid with control of the Treasury payment system had a history of posting about being racist, and pushing for eugenics.

This was enough for him to resign once it got out, only for Musk to hire him back not 24 hours later.

Of the claims of waste and corruption Musk has boasted about online to have found, each is shown to be entirely meritless. Though the agencies he is targeting does speak to a larger goal.

With USAID being the first, an agency that has helped stymie Vladimir Putin’s influence in Russia, and helps Ukraine in their sovereignty efforts. It has also helped end apartheid in South Africa.

These are two issues Elon Musk is potentially attached to the “wrong side” of so to speak.

Let’s analyze some of the claims Musk has made a little further, to see if any show the “fraud” or “corruption” he speaks of.

It started with Trump’s press secretary claiming Musk found evidence USAID spent $50 million on condoms to Gaza. A rather insane claim, and one that is completely false.

The closest thing to this would be $45,000 allotted to Jordan for oral contraceptives and injectable contraceptives but not condoms as part of a larger medical shipment.

There was then the claim that USAID spent over $8 million dollars funding Politico, an independent but is rated to lean left. This was to be some grand exposing of how government props up liberal media.

Only to find out it wasn’t $8 million, it was around $44,000 for Politico Pro subscriptions from USAID employees. Which is a Politico paywall product that allows backroom updates on policy.

It’s a tool multiple members of both parties in Congress subscribe to as well and allows no editorial control or anything of the such.

List Of “USAID Corruption” On Twitter.

A list circulating social media of the money “laundered” by USAID also includes multiple projects not funded by USAID.

Like money to go toward different musicals, art, or literature that furthered things aligned with US interests.

That being diversity initiatives or Pro-LGBTQ messaging in this scenario. The problem is these grants come from the state department, in the Department for Diplomacy and Public Affairs. Which exists specifically to boost up US interests and culture in other areas.

It would be easier to list the true claims than the false ones, with only the “$1.5 million for DEI in Serbia” being true or without vital context.

$2.5 million for “electric vehicles” in Vietnam was actually to fund green energy business models, financial models, and products to a region that is one of the highest greenhouse gas emitters.

$2 million was not spent for “sex changes and LGBT activism” in Guatemala, it was a grant for overall healthcare access with a focus on the trans community who wasn’t able to receive care prior. The institution receiving the grant even specified it doesn’t include sex changes, or even hormone therapy.

It should then be no surprise that “$1 million dollars to an organization that worked in the Wuhan lab with COVID” is also a misnomer then. Not only is there no evidence or consensus the Wuhan Lab is the origin of COVID, but USAID paid this grant to UC-Davis who then hired EcoHealth Alliance to briefly work in Wuhan.

Anyone not directly listed here, is debunked in this Washington Post article. One last main thing to remember is the way these grants are set up is they are paid in “milestones” or once a set thing is completed. Which typically leads to the amounts advertised not being paid in full, or being paid out over a multitude of years if they are.

USAID Grant And Contracting Process.

Now while it is normal for a new administration to come in and look over these things and rid of the ones that don’t align with their goals, but labeling this as “fraud” or “corruption” is hilariously off-base.

While Elon surely knows this, he knows his base probably doesn’t, which allows him to use this to pretend his achieving more than he is and to get them on board with something much more sinister than is being shown on the surface.
